Communication and Translation of Evidence Synthesis Findings: A Hands-On Workshop
Live online event
The African Community for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (ACSRM) invites researchers to participate in a hands-on workshop aimed at enhancing skills in communicating and translating evidence synthesis findings. This interactive session is designed to provide practical strategies for improving the impact of research through effective dissemination.
The workshop will commence with an introduction to the principles of knowledge translation, focusing on how to transform complex evidence into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Techniques for crafting impactful research summaries and targeting specific groups, such as academics, policymakers, and practitioners, will be covered.
Participants will engage in practical exercises, including writing research summaries and developing dissemination plans tailored to different stakeholders. The workshop will also showcase the use of digital tools and platforms, such as social media and blogs, to expand the reach and influence of research findings.
The session will feature interactive Q&A and discussions, allowing participants to share their experiences and seek advice on overcoming their own dissemination challenges. By the end of this workshop, attendees will be better prepared to communicate their evidence synthesis findings effectively and maximise their impact.
